Exam contents:

Circle walking: bear, dragon, single-hook, lion, eagle, crab, yinyang fish. 

Changes: Dragon form dodging, returning, grinding, spinning, eight variations of single change, eight variations of double change, five variations of following change.

                Three eagle changes, three lion changes. three yin-yang changes.

Techniques: Power release in zhuangzhang, daishou, chuanzhang, fanbeichui, qiezhang, gaizhang.

                        Eight variations of tanzhang, eight variations of chuanzhang.

Demonstrate sparring methods.

Routines: 88 routine, 128 routine.

Partner Training: Zhuangzhang, Moving step Daishou partner training, Lion form partner training (coiling and playing with the ball), Bear form partner training, Coiling palm partner training


Detailed lesson plan to achieve level two:
1. Circle-walking
Bear circle-walking, dragon circle-walking, single-hook circle-walking, lion circle-walking, eagle circle-walking, crab circle-walking, yinyang fish circle-walking.
Correct movements as needed, improve understanding of baguazhang health development theory, increase training intensity, learn baguazhang ‘settling the dan’ theory and improve baguazhang basic deep skills.
Circle-walking deep skills: Stepping skills of toad walk stepping, trampling the head and tail of the snake, kicking the door stop. Skills of making the body released and settled, grabbing the ground with the feet.
2. Explanation of basic skills
Power release methods for zhuangzhang, daishou, chuanzhang, fanbeichui, qiezhang, gaizhang, and other skills.
3. Techniques
First correct the problems remaining in the techniques learned in level one. Understand fully the theories involved in level one. Improve performance of the key techniques. Then progress to learn the following new palms and techniques.
(1) Dragon form techniques and palm changes
Dodging the body change: double koubu and double baibu stepping, dodging the body, using the elbow to strike, connecting the tanzhang to an elbow strike. 
Grinding the body change: white snake coils its body, grinding body applications.
Returning change: advance and retreat turning, pizhang applications, kicks.
Spinning change: striking to front and rear, single zhuangzhang.
Eight variations of single palm change: variations in upper, middle, and lower basins, variations to eight directions.
Eight variations of double palm change: variations in rising and falling, interchange between hard and soft. (only six variations are known)
Eight variations of following change: folding and returning, duck splits the water (only five variations are known)
Eight variations of tanzhang: four of eight variations to the front, four of eight variations to the rear.
Eight variations of chuangzhang: eight variations.
(2) Lion form palms
Stake standing rolling the ball: release the shoulders and enliven the shoulder girdle, settle the qi and strengthen the body core, roll and coil to daishou.
Lion catches the ball: lion wheels around, lion rolls, lion holds itself straight.
Lion throws the ball: lion presses the body, lion changes position.
Stake standing throws away the ball: lion empties its body, eight techniques of lion plays with the ball.
(3) Eagle form palms
Eagle spreads its wings: large opening and closing, lengthening for distant attack.
Eagle circles: circling in the air, full spirit and intent method.
(4) Yinyang fish palms
Spiraling body method: koubu and baibu rotating method, yinyang folding method.
Spiraling changing position method: koubu and baibu rotating and changing, yinyang changing place method.
(5) Main fighting techniques
Methods to advance and retreat: connect the hands methods, draw in the opponent method, put the opponent under duress method, resist the opponent method, protect the body method.
Wrapping up methods: sticking and adhering methods, following methods, folding methods.
Triangular stepping methods: agile and practical use of changing position methods, koubu and baibu stepping methods.
Applications for tiaodao, fanbeichui, shoulder strikes, and elbow strikes.

4. Basic baguazhang routines
The 88 move routine
Must be able to perform the 88 form routine well and comfortably to both sides. Must be able to perform all techniques in the routine as individual technique drills. 
The 128 move routine
Must be able to perform the 128 routine clearly, well, and comfortably. Must be able to perform half of the techniques in the routine as individual technique drills.
Must understand the eight circle-walking training methods that occur in the routine. Must understand the principles of the skillful use of the body and footwork. Must understand the principles of the individual skills drills. Must understand the principles of the combinations and connections of the baguazhang techniques.
Performance at this level in both routines enables one to be a level two baguazhang routine coach.

5。Partner Training
(1) Zhuangzhang partner training
Two-handed zhuangzhang partner training method and principles, single handed zhuangzhang partner training method and principles, principles of zhuangzhang applications, principles of training the deep skills of zhuangzhang.
(2) Moving step Daishou partner training
Daishou receiving method, method of power release for daishou, daishou coiling method.
(3) Lion form partner training (coiling and playing with the ball)
Partner ball rolling method, ball shaped fighting method, ball shaped wheeling and turning and moving methods.
(4) Bear form partner training
Method of sticking and coiling with the body, method of pushing in waves with the body.
(5) Coiling palm partner training
Method of coiling with the hands, method of connecting and changing with the feet, moving in space and changing position.

Goals and requirements
On the foundation of the first level, train diligently to master the source of the bodywork and power. In this level you can develop the release of obvious power and gain a certain foundation in fighting ability. During the second phase of your training, your tendons, bones, qi and blood should show great changes, your body should rid itself of problems. At this stage you have prepared the foundation for learning hidden power.
